Adult Programs at Humbercrest

Why meet to discuss a book? Often discussion with other people who have read the same book leads to new insights. It can cause one to look at the world, themselves or history in a different way.

We read a variety of books, both fiction and non-fiction.

We meet monthly via zoom on the fourth Monday of the month at 7:30 pm. Barb Gilmour sends out a zoom invitation a few days before the meeting.

If you would like to join us please send an email to Barb Gilmour at bgilmour@sympatico.ca. Or, contact the church office at info@humbercrest.ca.

Canadian Tai Chi Academy

Chair Yoga

Chair yoga is a series of yoga movements done sitting on a chair and also some standing
postures with the help of a chair. As a result, it improves seniors health.

Yoga is an excellent way for older adults to: loosen and stretch painful muscles, reduce stress, improve circulation, develop greater flexibility, helps lower blood pressure, protects joints and improves range of motion, (great for arthritis), builds strength and balance.

It is interesting and fun!
