Humbercrest United Church is governed by a Church Council composed of an elected chair and standing committees who meet monthly from September to June.

Standing Committees and Chair HoldersBuildings and Grounds: David GilmourThis committee oversees the day-to-day maintenance of the church and manse. In addition, large projects like sanctuary lighting, major repairs, etc. are taken on as necessary.
Christian Development: Beverley Burke This committee is responsible for programs of faith development for all ages, church school, library, and youth groups, leadership training, Baptismal classes, re-affirmation classes, marriage preparation classes, and Bible study groups
Communications: Sven Steindorff This committee is responsible for providing various means for on-going communications such as the quarterly newsletter, brochures, advertising and this website.
Congregational Life: Ariane Baines This committee is responsible for coordinating food and refreshments for weekly Tea Time, the Shrove Tuesday pancake supper, the Strawberry Social, Rally Sunday and Christmas Tea Time celebrations.
Ministry and Personnel: Mary Gazel In accordance with the guidelines provided by the United Church of Canada, confidential consultation and support for all staff members and members of the congregation; regular review of personnel practices, working conditions and remuneration and position descriptions, annual staff evaluations and goal-setting.
Mission Animator: Barb Gilmour Keeps the congregation abreast of the wide range of people, churches and other organizations who have needs or have benefited from the Mission and Service Fund.
Nominations: Angela Wrobel This committee is responsible for identifying roles and recommending various personnel to fill these roles.
Pastoral Care: Sharon Lawrie This committee is responsible training and support workshops, administration of visitation schedule and districts, coordinating visitation, roll, directory, new members and welcoming members.
Presbytery Reps: Lilla Gilbart and Donna Magee Presbyter-at-large: John Gilbart These individuals provide representation of Humbercrest United at South West Presbytery meetings, acting as two-way liaisons bringing information from Presbytery to Council and, where appropriate, providing information to Presbytery.
Stewardship: Dianna Seth This committee is responsible for conducting an annual stewardship campaign which strives to increase overall givings of time, talent and money; co-ordinate fundraising events; develop a narrative budget which describes our faith story and how our resources are used to fulfill our mission.

Worship: Sean Anderson The Worship Committee is responsible for the worship services, administration of the sacraments, policies for Baptism, funerals and weddings, choir and music, dramas, pageants, concerts, devotional booklets, decorations, ushering and audio tapes of services. |
