Alcoholics Anonymous—Park Lawn Group

Meets Fridays at 8:30 p.m.

 

Girl Guides of Canada            

Sparks, Brownies, Guides and Venturers meet regularly at our church. Contact the church office for Humbercrest-specific information. To learn more about Girl Guides of Canada, click GGoC.

 

Humbercrest’s “Young at Heart” Group

Meets from September to May.  Participants enjoy a coffee party or a hearty lunch, good conversation and a variety of programs with friends old and new.

 

“Just for Men” Group

Meets at 10:00 a.m. on the first and third Friday of each month for coffee and conversation—no duties, no agenda, no responsibilities—just good fellowship. Contact John Gilbart at 416-246-1117 for more information.

 

Metro Mothers’ Network

Groups meet from 9:15-11:15 a.m. where the mothers participate in a 45 minute fitness class followed by a one hour group discussion. These are registered programs where childcare is provided. Sessions are offered in the fall, winter and spring. 

- MumNet, for mothers with children aged 0-5, meets on Thursday mornings.

- MumVet, for mothers with school age children, meets on Wednesday mornings.

- NetFit, an evening fitness group, meets Tuesdays from 7:30-8:30 pm. It costs $8 per class for drop-ins or $6 per class for those that register for the full term. Note childcare is NOT provided for the evening class.

Quilters

Meet every Monday 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. to spend the morning working their magic with beautiful fabrics. All are welcome to bring their skills or desire to learn.  Click here to view quilts for sale.  Contact Dianne at 416-767-1919 if you wish more information.

 

Scouts Canada

Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Venturers meet at various times during the week. Please contact David Gilmour through the church office for more information.

 

Scottish Country Dancing

Scottish Country Dancing at Humbercrest will start up again on Wednesday, September 14, 2011, with Deirdre MacCuish Bark from the Royal Scottish Country Dancing Society as leader/instructor, on Wednesday evenings in Heritage Hall.   We begin at 7:15 PM and end at 9:15 PM; newcomers are invited to arrive at 7:00 PM.   This social group is intended for intermediate dancers, who wish to practise their reels, jigs and strathspeys at a reasonable pace.  Cost is $5.00 per session.  Call Dorothy Lothian, 416-762-5037 or Barbara Kalmuk, 416 766-3879 for more information.

 

United Church Women (U.C.W.)

The purpose of the UCW is to unite women of the congregation for the total mission of the Church and to provide a medium through which they may express their loyalty and devotion to Jesus Christ in Christian witness, study, fellowship and service. At Humbercrest, our Unity group meets every second Tuesday of the month in the evening, October to June. New members are always welcome.
