Christmas Outreach Program

Humbercrest's 2015 Christmas Outreach Program will once again focus on the very great needs of Yonge Street Mission and the Jane-Finch Ministry.  Throughout December up to White Gift Sunday you will find our white baskets in the narthex waiting for your contributions of food, clothing, toys, games, books and personal gift items.  Envelopes will also be available for the Jane-Finch Mission.  Please help, as generously as you have in the past, to bring hope and comfort to families with children, marginalized adults, homeless street youths and isolated seniors.

Food on the Street

A dedicated group of people are working with Roncesvalles United Church to supply ingredients and menu items for dinners and lunches for Roncesvalles United's food program.  Anyone interested in helping out should contact Sandra Fletcher through the Church Office.

Items to donate.

Just for Men Group

Meets at 10 a.m. on the first and third Friday of each month for coffee and conversation.  No duties, agenda, just great fellowship.  Contact John Gilbart for more information.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

The Prayer Shawl Ministry supports those who are dealing with particularly trying special events by providing them a hand-made prayer shawl, as a mantle of healing and comfort. Created at member’s homes the shawls are blessed during Sunday Service.

Tea Time

Most Sundays, the congregation gathers after service in our Heritage Hall for a time of fellowship.  Please consider volunteering for this wonderful tradition.  Coffee and tea are provided by Congregational Life.  Treats are appreciated but not necessary. What you need to know.

Young at Heart

There is a series of four lunches per year held on Mondays. These occur in March, May, October and December. The luncheon menus vary but may consist of juice, salad, dessert and either an assortment of sandwiches, or pita pockets from the Pickle Barrel, or a quiche lunch. The price ranges from $8.00 to $12.00 depending upon the meal.
